Like virtually everyone else in these dog days of summer, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is going on vacation next week. Little is known about it, other than that he’s headed to “upstate” New York – whatever that means. (Paging WNYC/Gothamist’s Jon Campbell, this is your time to shine!) Is he headed up to a remote cabin in the Adirondacks? Or just to Yonkers? Will his whole car and driver and detail join him? And most importantly: If he goes swimming, will he finally take off that suit?
