It’s summer and it smells like a campfire, but sadly there are no marshmallows. It seems New York City has now been hit with four plagues: 100-degree weather, wildfire smoke coming in from Canada and burgeoning outbreaks of both Legionnaires’ disease and cyclosporiasis. What the remaining six plagues might be is anyone’s guess, but for the first time during summer intern season, the lines at Sweetgreens and Just Salads around the Big Apple are nonexistent as finance bros-to-be look to avoid explosive diarrhea. But you know what doesn’t carry cyclospora parasites? Marshmallows.
