New York politicians strutted their stuff up the grand staircase at the Metropolitan Opera House at Lincoln Center, wearing fashion pieces by local designers. The Sept. 9 event was the third annual Style Across the Aisle, which brought together politicians of all ideological stripes for a night of fashion and fundraising. Founder Skye Ostreicher started the event to have politicos shed the partisan labels and connect as people. \u201cI\u2019ve spent my career trying to get people who may disagree with each other to sit down and actually talk \u2026 (and) Skye Ostreicher\u2019s Style Across the Aisle does the same thing in a completely different way,\u201d Rep. Tom Suozzi said in a statement.<\/p>\n
